Our Story

Back in 2015 PureKnead was created in Paula Wilson's own kitchen.

I started out on the Tynemouth market and discovered a whole new bunch of friends and a real community spirit. This is what I wanted to bring to my business, a friendly welcoming atmosphere where people can stop and have a chat. As the business started to grow I knew it was time to take the next step and move into our  shop which I found on Park View, Whitley Bay and thank you to an ever growing bunch of loyal customers, we have now expanded into larger premises, again on Park View with a larger kitchen.

We sell a stunning range of Artisan Breads, Cakes, Pastries and Sandwiches, all made with quality ingredients. Our shop also offers a bespoke cake commission service, which is tailored to the individual, producing a truly unique product.

our range of sourdoughs is made using traditional techniques, taking 48hours to make. We use only flour, water & salt...no additives, no improvers...
